I was commissioned to create a short documentary for Conservation International Mexico on the Chinampa-Refugio ecological restoration and water quality improvement project in Xochimilco, Mexico City. Funded by Microsoft and developed in collaboration with UNAM, this 20-year initiative works to clean water contamination in the chinampas, an ancient agricultural system, to protect the livelihoods of local farmers and safeguard the biodiversity of this UNESCO World Heritage wetland, particularly that of the emblematic axolotl.
